Woodturning Lampstand and Willow Lampshade Workshop (2 days)

We are really excited to be offering this collaborative 2 day workshop. Combining the skill of woodturning, to make the turned lampstand, with the skill of basketmaking, to create a matching lampshade. Two unique pieces that will look stunning in your home.
Imants will show you how to turn your wood ‘blank’ into a beautiful lampstand. He will also take you through the electrical fitting and PAT testing to ensure that your finished piece is fit for purpose.
Gill will show you how to make a stunning willow lampshade that will throw unique shadows around your room. The making of your lampshade will include simple trac and rod borders as well as decorative side weaves. It will also incorporate a standard light fitting so that it fits your completed lampstand.
