One Show Only!Arguably the definitive ‘summer festival’, 1969’s Woodstock Music and Art Festival is captured in all its rain-smeared, mud-drenched glory by Michael Wadleigh and crew – including film editor Thelma Schoonmaker, recordist Larry Johnson, and music mixer Dan Wallin – in this epic Oscar-winning documentary. Screened in its Director’s Cut version first released 30 years ago in 1994, and featuring unforgettable performances by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young; Ritchie Havens; Joe Cocker; Jefferson Airplane; Santana; Janis Joplin; and, of course, Jimi Hendrix, whose ragged version of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ is immortalized here, Wadleigh’s film was a box-office smash and remains the definitive visual record of some of the most iconic artists of the ’60s.
There will be a 10-minute intermission between both halves of the film.
