_____________
City staff, in coordination with Design Workshop, have made significant strides in advancing the Parks Master Plan since the project kick-off meeting and on-site visit in October 2023. A master plan sets a vision for a park system, individual parks, open space area, recreation facility, or programs in context of its location, natural resources, and community vision. The master plan guides the delivery of parks and recreation services, programs, and activities in a manner that is consistent with a local government’s comprehensive plan and policy agenda.
The planning process engages stakeholders and gathers community input. It serves as a framework for the long-term use and development of a park or facility and provides policy direction for local decision-makers.
