About this Event
Join TCV at Cammo Estate for a day of practical conservation work!
We’ll be carrying out traditional hedgelaying and hedgerow planting to create wildlife corridors that provide food and shelter for birds, small mammals, and pollinators. Hedgerows are vital for connectivity across landscapes, and this work supports the Edinburgh Nature Network’s goal of linking green spaces for nature and people.
In addition, we’ll tackle invasive species removal to protect native plants and improve habitat quality, and we’ll sow wildflower seeds to boost biodiversity and provide nectar sources for pollinators.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn hands-on skills in habitat restoration, meet like-minded volunteers, and make a real difference to Edinburgh’s natural environment.
The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) connects people and green spaces to create healthier, happier communities. Our volunteers play a vital role in restoring habitats, improving biodiversity, and making nature accessible for everyone.
