Join us in celebrating the completion of intersection and pedestrian safety improvements in the Woodland Heights Neighborhood 5-6 p.m., Wednesday, July 17 on the northeast corner of Grant Avenue and Chase Street (1846 N Grant Ave.). The City of Springfield in partnership with the Woodland Heights Neighborhood Association will mark the completion of two crosswalk improvement projects located at the intersections of Grant Avenue and Chase Street and Lyon Avenue and Chase Street.
Identified by the neighborhood as a need through the City’s Neighborhood Works program, the improvements are intended to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility in Woodland Heights, providing a safer environment for residents and visitors.
Attendees will enjoy a brief ceremony followed by a two-block walking tour of the newly constructed improvements.
Parking is available along Chase Street, west of the intersection.
