*For our February Meet & Greet we will be joined by Donna "Pokey" Alrutz who has created art all her life. She spent her working career with Missouri Social Services, leading youthful offenders into a better life, but her personal life assembling surreal and other-wordly creations. We're excited for this opportunity to hear the thoughts behind some of the collages and images._________
Hey, Woodland Friends!
Are you a Woodland Heights' visual artist? A poet? A sculptor? A potter? A singer? Do you make beautiful quilts? Do you craft mosaics? Do you act? Or do you create life-size statues out of macaroni?
Whoever you are and whatever creative thing you do—we want to meet you, friend! We're interested in helping to strengthen this community through art and creativity. In order to do that, we have to understand the creative potential and spirit of our community.
Come and meet us, get to know your fellow creative neighbors at the Woodland Creatives - Meet & Greet. We hope to see you there. Come ready to talk about your work! And bring samples to share with us if you want! Or bring your guitar to strum along and share your music with us!
Not sure you qualify as a Woodland Creative? Here's the test—do you do something creative that brings you joy? Do you often feel the need to share that creative thing with the public, or (at least) with other people? Then come along. All are welcome. Let's grow creative vibes in this community together!
