Carly & Sven are a duo hailing from Glasgow and London now living in Cornwall. They write original music inspired by Vocal driven jazz, ambient, singer songwriting and electronic elements. Carly’s vocal layering and her own personal life experiences are the main inspiration behind her songwriting. Whilst Sven’s use of Piccolo bass, effects and live loops accompany Carly to create ambient cinematic soundscapes.
Their debut EP ‘The Author’ was written, recorded and completely self produced by the duo and they plan to release serval parts to ‘The Author’ gradually as a series which will combine different genres of music.
Carly and Sven have been evolving musically since performing covers of well known artists such as Alison Kraus, Prince, Bonnie Raitt and they’re now combining their influences to develop their live show and establish their own sound.
