Join us for a hike at dusk to search for woodcocks, an amazing upland bird, and learn about their fascinating mating rituals. While wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, this is a special time of year to listen, watch, and experience the sights and sounds of the wetlands at twilight. Meet in the parking lot at Dave Nolin Reserve. Please be prepared to walk on wet trails or boardwalks. Bring water. Flashlights are okay, but red light is preferred. This leisurely hike will be up to 2 miles. Not appropriate for children under 12. In the event of heavy rain or storms, the hike will be rescheduled.About the hike leader: Mark Byrne is an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist. He has volunteered with the Cincinnati Nature Center for five years supporting programming, events, and native plant propagation. He also volunteers with Warren County Parks and BCWA supporting programming and group hikes.
