Covers safe and effective use of jointer and planer.Our space includes a complete wood shop for members to use for professional or personal projects. Each class in this series will teach how to safely and effectively use a specific group of tools accessible in the wood shop. Students will be instructed in operating and maintenance procedures, appropriate technique, and wood shop etiquette. Members must demonstrate safe use of these tools to be certified to use them in our space.
Tool Trainings in the wood shop do not need to be taken in sequence. Class 2 will cover the jointer and planer.
Additional Information
-Successful completion of this course will result in certification of Technocopia members to independently use the tools directly covered in the course.
-This class is only available to students ages 18 or over.

Ben Cline: Wood Shop Steward
Ben Cline has been a part of the Technocopia community since 2015. He currently is the steward of the Wood Shop. He has been woodworking for 20+ years and has been formally trained at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). He also was a former Vice President of the Central New England Woodturners Guild (CNEW.org). He owns his own business (@ClineCraft) as a Home Improvement Contractor.
