About this Event

Exploring Natural Elements Wood Burning Charcuterie.

Spend a day with pyrographer Heather Martin while you exploring techniques in wood burning, bringing in natural elements and creating your own charcuterie board with texture and interest. Woodburning is a slow immersive process and this day is guaranteed to leave you relaxed and inspired to create new pieces.

During the session, we will start the day with a relaxing meditation and light stretching, explore basic Pyrography techniques, collect inspiring natural elements, create our composition, practice textures on your own small coaster and use these elements to inspire our final piece, a useable woodburned charcuterie board that you can gift or keep for special occasions.

Rain or shine please dress for the weather but no pressure! I will make sure there are plenty of inspiring elements and several template options in the workshop. Or you can choose to bring elements or photos from home.

Light snacks and coffee/tea will be provided but please bring your own lunch. There will be plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors with a small firepit and sitting area.

All supplies will be available ( Have your own burner? feel free to bring along) You will bring home a small charcuterie board of your choice, a texture coaster and a 1 oz food safe board cream.

About the Artist

Heather Martin, of FireWork Designs, is a Pyrography Artist in Fergus Ontario that has been woodburning for almost a decade.
