Join us for a community brunch and gastrochurch experience at Central City Co-Op.Do you know your neighbors? Do you want to know your neighbors? Do you like brunch?
Welcome to gastrochurch . We do intentional conversations about spiritual things over really good food. We set a table and invite people from any background, culture, worldview, and identity. It's kind of a mashup between a dinner party and a small group, only with people you might otherwise never meet.
Here's how it works: when you show up, grab a drink - your choice, a glass of wine, beer, growler of cold brew or one of our other fun non-alcoholic beverages. You'll sit at a table of six with people you may or may not know. Over the course of the meal, we'll give you three questions, meant to get you talking about something more substantive than the weather. You spend about 90 minutes eating, drinking, talking, laughing, connecting, and potentially meeting your new best friend. And then you go home and tell everyone how awesome it was and how you can't wait to come to the next gathering.
Fred Rogers showed us the power of kindness and compassion and brought new meaning to the word neighbor. Living in the 4th largest city in America, can make it difficult to get to know your neighbor. Cue places and people like Central City Co-Op, Grace in the Heights, and gastrochurch, doing what we can to help you connect with the little pockets of community around you.
