Ever looked up at the night sky and wished you could know more about the other worlds that are out there?Well, now is your chance to learn more about the wondrous worlds that inhabit our solar system and beyond. Join us at RSPB St Aidan's for an evening discovering all things to do with planets and moons.
Led by the Wakefield and District Astronomical Society, this interactive session will give you the opportunity to learn about the evolution of the solar system, details of other planets and their moons within it and what we know about worlds outside of our own system.
There will be a range of telescopes and other optical equipment available so you can see first-hand views of any visible worlds including the Moon, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune and Uranus as well as other unique astronomical features in the night sky such as constellations and galaxies.
There will be plenty of opportunity to get your questions answered and, weather permitting, live demonstrations of lunar/planetary photography in action!
