Join us for our new ecology series just for active and curious adults. The program combines indoor discussions with outdoor exploration and observation, all about the ecology of Connecticut's forests. Over the course of four Fridays, attendees will get a chance to learn about trees, birds, insects, and more from our expert staff. We'll be serving light refreshments and have time for additional Q&As at the end of each hike. Hikes will take place on Great Hollow's red and green trails (about 1 mile). Registration is $20 for non-members and free for members. Please email our education director, Tara ([email protected]), to sign up. More information can be found on our website, GreatHollow.orgEach session will take place from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. The dates and topics for each session are:
Friday, October 10 | Fall Foliage and Tree ID
Friday, October 31 | It's Alive! The Fascinating World of the Forest Floor
Friday, November 14 | Invasive Species
Friday, December 5 | Winter Birding
