FAMILY FRIENDLY SHOW
Join Dr Jo for a fast-paced, journey through the most remarkable machine on Earth – the human body!
This interactive festival science show blends lively demonstrations, eye-opening illusions and engaging audience participation to reveal the surprising ways our bodies sense, think and move.
Together, we’ll explore strange quirks in our vision and hearing, uncover how the brain filters and sometimes tricks us, and test just how easily our senses can be fooled. Children (and adults!) will discover what makes each of us unique, and investigate the unusual behaviours of our muscles with fun, accessible experiments.
Dr Jo brings science to life with her trademark energy, warmth and humour, making complex ideas exciting and easy to understand. Expect plenty of “wow” moments, curious questions and hands-on involvement from the audience — it’s the perfect show for families who love learning new things together.
Ideal for ages 7+, though the whole family is welcome.

The show contains bright visuals, optional taste testing, and interactive elements where children may be invited to join in from their seats. No scares, no gore — just a lively, science-packed celebration of how incredible our bodies truly are.
Tickets for under 18s are FREE. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult ticketholder.
This show will take place in The Theatre at the Deanery CE Academy
Please make your way to The Theatre at least 15 minutes before the start time to help enable everyone to be seated so that the show can start on time.
Seats may be reallocated if ticket holders have not arrived by the published start time.
