An empowering evening focused on financial equity, education, and women supporting women, presented as part of the 40 Acres Black History Month programming.
The seminar begins with a Financial Equity Workshop, offering practical tools to build financial confidence, followed by Her Power, Her Path, a panel conversation highlighting women leaders and their journeys in leadership, wealth-building, and community impact.

Deneva Shelton, MBA
CEO of the Nehemiah Leaders Program, Deneva Shelton is a community advocate advancing equity, leadership, and economic mobility across the Sacramento region. Her work includes serving as Sacramento’s Community Manager for JPMorgan Chase, where she focused on financial education and closing the racial wealth gap. She is recognized as a Top 25 Black Change Maker and Exceptional Woman of Color Honoree.
Azizza Davis Goines
Azizza Davis Goines is the President and CEO of the Capital Black Chamber of Commerce and Executive Director of its Foundation. With more than 30 years of leadership in nonprofit management and economic development, she is a champion for equity, business empowerment, and community growth. Her honors include the Rosa Parks Award and Woman of Influence.
Designed for women at every stage of their financial journey, this event centers learning, connection, and community empowerment.
