WomenSing for Peace at Yoga Mandali
with Chelsie Henderson (EarthBeat Music)

Singing is a way to connect with our hearts, and the hearts of others. It is a satisfying form of emotional release, and a magnificent tool for empowerment. It consists of breathing and vibrations... The voice itself is an absolutely incredible force!
Women are invited to join together to sing for peace deep within themselves so that we may weave that peace into our communities and send it throughout the world.
No singing experience is required. The workshop will be geared toward beginning singers and will focus on healthy vocal technique including breathing and warm-ups so that all can sing with ease. The songs will be in various languages from cultures around the world. The history and meaning behind each song will be shared for authentic context and to honor the originators of the songs.

Chelsie is also the founder of Schuylerville's Community Conversations, and participates in various community environmental and social activism groups. She was awarded the 2023 "Women of Distinction Award" from Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner.
