SMBA is proud to offer our Women’s Technical Toolkit Clinic! SMBA instructors will go over the key skills every mountain biker needs to feel confident riding on technical Arizona terrain. Our focus for this event is to build confidence and a complete understanding of these techniques so that riders leave with a whole new toolkit of skills. More Skills = More Fun!
This clinic is different from others, in that it is taught by expert local certified coaches who ride the technical terrain daily, right here in our backyard. We know all of the trail features to help you learn safely and effectively.

Skills that will be covered:
Body Position - Video analysis and an in-depth look into the Academy’s progressive riding stance
Progressive Bike Set Up - The Academy’s philosophy, including a Q&A session
Effective Braking Techniques - Brake safely and brake less to keep up with your friends
Bike Body Separation - Be more dynamic on the bike
Wheel Lifts - Getting up larger obstacles
Pumping - Becoming more efficient, finding your flow
Cornering - Building confidence with traction, control, and stability
The Women’s Technical Toolkit Clinic is a welcoming opportunity to connect with other riders and reach your riding potential. Every rider in the clinic will walk away with a comprehensive understanding of key SMBA fundamentals and how to find your flow.
This clinic is tailored for riders who identify as beginners to intermediate riders. The group size will be small, ensuring plenty of individualized feedback for each participant and practice time.
