About this Event
Ready to open your voice and sing with an amazing community of women? Come join this 5 week singing circle series held by life long musician, songwriter, performing artist and facilitator, Samantha Keller. Open to all levels - no prior singing experience required.
This Winter Series will be focused on songs that celebrate women, nature, love, sisterhood , community and the deep Winter season. We will be using the vehicle of the voice and song to powerfully connect with self and each other. Singing in community is a vehicle for Empowerment, Connection and Communion. There will be opportunies to sing solo and play with improv if desired.
Together we will create a well held container that fosters safety, positivity, exploration, attunement, deep listening, expression and presence.
This is a circle for women and femme-identified
Each week includes:
- Embodied vocal technique - resonate the body, access the breath, open the voice!
- Call-and-response learning (no sheet music required!)
- Songs that honor women, nature, magic and the beautiful quality of Autumn
- Soulful harmonies, deep listening, and vocal play
- Occasional opportunities for solo expression and improv exploration (if desired)
- Heart-sharing and community
- Vocal meditation
We will be building the songs and harmonies every week and you will receive a link to the songs we will be learning as we go so you can practice and sing throughout the week.
5 week series starts on Wednesday, Feb 4th and runs through Wednesday, March 4th from 6:30 - 8pm. The first circle is open by donation and no one will be turned away. We will then continue on with an additional 4 weeks with a closed group. The 4 week series will be $80. Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in and bring water - our vocal chords like to be well hydrated!
