Women who want to go kayaking - this opportunity is for you!Do you want to:
💦 Learn how to paddle safely and with confidence on the river?
🌿 Escape with friends (or on your own) and enjoy the natural, peaceful space that the river offers?
🛶 Meet other women to go paddling with?
Green Canoe Inc is running kayak training courses (2-days duration) that will enable women to do this!
We are running courses in Dubbo and Wellington (you just register for one course). One course is for Aboriginal women, one is for women aged 50+, one is for LBTIQA women and non-binary people, and one course is for any women. If you don't fit these categories and can't make the "any women" course, please contact us, we can slot you in on any course that has spaces left.
There will also be a skills refresher day in Wellington and Dubbo in November/December for those who want to brush up or check in on their skills.
AND a networking facebook page will be established out of the courses for women to be able to have more PADDLE BUDDIES 🤩

These courses are part of a project 'Creating Resilience through Recreation: Strengthening Women and Communities around the Wambuul Macquarie River'. We are also creating a brochure of common plants, birds and other wildlife along the river so you can learn more about the environment you're paddling in!
This project is externally funded - the funding body will make an announcement soon.
