Join the Women's Press Club of Pittsburgh on Wednesday, November 12 at Kingfly Spirits for the 71st Annual Dinner & Scholarship Awards!
Held from 6-8 p.m. (registration and networking from 6-6:30 p.m.), the evening will be filled with great food from Sprezzatura, drinks by Kingfly, awesome local raffle baskets, and a celebration of this year's winners of the 71st Annual Gertrude Gordon Memorial Scholarship. Gertrude Gordon was one of the first female reporters in Pittsburgh to have her byline appear over her articles and this scholarship competition honors her legacy. The fund is maintained by The Pittsburgh Foundation.
We will also be awarding the inaugural winners of the Helen Fallon Young Communicator Award.
The guest speaker will be Lisa Sylvester, an Emmy award-winning journalist, anchor, and reporter who is the evening news anchor at WPXI-TV.
As the second oldest women's press club in the nation and celebrating our 134th year, the Women's Press Club of Pittsburgh strives to honor its past and forge into the future by providing a place for women in the news media — journalists, writers, editors, photographers, broadcasters, public relations professionals, and their supporters.
