This course is designed for women looking to gain confidence in the outdoors. You will learn about survival priorities and vital wilderness skills. This class is designed as a hands-on experience in a supportive learning environment. No experience is required. The class will be 3 days and 2 nights and begins promptly at 9:00am on Friday morning. One of those nights we will sleep in shelters we create. If you would like to camp out the night before class starts, you can.
Students will need to bring their own basic gear for this experience. Outdoor gear can be expensive, so please reach out to discuss options if the cost for gear is a barrier to your participation. A specific gear list will be posted separately.

Fire Lays and Tinder Selection
Finding and Treating Water
Medicinal and Edible Plants
Knots and Lashings
Basic Land Navigation
Backcountry Hygiene and Basic First Aid
Personal Safety
Signaling for Help
Cost for this class is $150 for the weekend which must be paid at time of registration in order to confirm your spot.
