If you can identify with any of the following statements and want reliable information to take positive action, the Wymondham Women's Midlife Collective could be the answer: "I keep forgetting things and can't focus".
"I'm exhausted all day, but can't sleep at night".
"I never know what to wear - I'm always melting".
"I have no idea what's happening to my hair!"
"My anxiety is shooting off the charts"
"I worry about how I'm going to react - I want to hide!"
"I am not coping with work - my confidence has plummeted".
"I feel really disconnected from my partner these days".
"At times, I can hardly concentrate long enough to work out what day it is!"
These are just some of the comments we hear from women about their midlife experience through the perimenopause and menopause.
The Women's Midlife Collective is a safe space for women to meet, access reliable information, and learn ways to maximise wellbeing and long term health.
British Menopause Society accredited specialist Dr Emma Ping will be providing information and support to the group. Information from local women and users of the group will inform how the group develops.
This informal, confidential space is an ideal opportunity to meet women, share experiences, access information, and learn ways to make the perimenopause and menopause a positive life stage.
Our cafe bar will be open serving refreshments during the sessions and there will be opportunities to hear presentations, talks and demos.
No booking necessary. Just come along yourself or with friends. We're sure you'll meet kindred spirits and make friends in this homely, welcoming space.
The session is free, though as always, donations are very gratefully received to help our volunteer team run our community Studio venue.
We are inviting women to participate in our survey to help us tailor the sessions to the issues affecting those interested in attending. To contribute, please follow this link or scan the QR code under the discussion section. You don't need to provide any personal details unless you choose to. https://forms.gle/HH5SS5CLg6QGTQ5b8
What to expect from the group? Ambient music, candles, relaxing scents, some funny and insightful clips of media representation of a woman's midlife, and a friendly, safe space.
