Learn about the historic impact women have had on shaping Maine's largest city from the stories of familiar names like Anne Longfellow Pierce, to the lesser-known tales like the workers of Curtis and Sons Chewing Gum factory and the Portland munitions factories during WWI . Famous city residents, industries, architecture, historic landmarks, and social history are among the topics covered.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
