Walk the length of Edinburgh's Royal Mile, from castle to palace, discovering women's history along the way.
About this Event

Starting at the esplanade outside Edinburgh castle, Ruth will take you downhill along the Royal Mile to Holyrood Palace, explaining not just the history of Edinburgh but also highlighting women from the past, from the well-known to what life was like for those who left no record in history.

The tour will take three hours in total, and will be outside with no shelter so please wrap up according to the weather conditions! It is all downhill, but with many cobbles. There might be one or two stops where we venture down a handful of steps so I can show you some things, as well as a stop in a graveyard, but if that will be an issue please let me know when you book and I can change the stops. There are no official toilet stops along the way, but we can make a stop at a cafe along the way for refreshment if needed. There are no seats along the way.
