A holistic approach to pelvic floor movement and support
Women’s Health Champions Series (supported by the NHS)
Mary and Sarb are hands-on therapists with shared foundations and different clinical techniques, united by a deep passion for human movement and biomechanics.
This practical and accessible workshop explores how the whole body influences the pelvic floor — through posture, breathing, load, and everyday movement — and how these physical patterns are closely connected to physical function, emotional balance, and psychological wellbeing.
You’ll learn:
- How posture and breathing influence pelvic floor health
- Why daily movement and load matter more than isolated exercises
- Simple, effective techniques to support common pelvic floor concerns
- How to apply these tools in everyday life
The session is gentle, informative, and empowering, focusing on understanding your body and knowing how to manage pelvic floor discomfort. . No experience is needed, and the workshop is open to women of all ages.

PELVIC FLOOR LOADING AND STRENGTH.
OVERAL OBJECTIVE
- To understand the function and importance of the pelvic floor muscles and their integration into daily life.
- To be able to perform exercises and movement patterns where the pelvic floor muscles are able to engage efficiently, enhancing optimum functionality, coordination and adaptability of the pelvic floor.

WARM UP (to look forward to):
- Standing pelvic movements
- Towel myofascial release
- Squat (unable to open outlet if engaging pelvic floor)
🥗 Healthy Lunch Included
A nourishing, thoughtfully prepared healthy lunch will be provided, with food choices designed to support pelvic floor health and overall wellbeing, and to complement the themes explored in the session.
