Join the Women's Museum of California this August to celebrate Women's Equality Day! Women's Equality Day commemorates the passage of the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution.The Women’s Museum of California will host a festival on Saturday, August 27th that will celebrate gender equality and promote civic engagement. The festival will include performances, scavenger hunts, workshops, makers market, and more!

Youth Suffrage Parade - 2:00 PM in front of the Jacobs Center entrance: Kids of all ages are invited to join in the Women's Museum's Suffrage Parade! Kids will learn the importance of voting and the history of the suffrage movement while making their own "votes for women" signs. After learning suffrage songs and chants everyone will participate in a suffrage parade around the festival grounds.
Movement Enthusiast Workshop with Disco Riot - 3:45 PM on the Celebration Lawn: Zaquia will be leading this month’s Movement Enthusiast with a focus on exploration of breath, expansive softening, seeing, and feeling. This practice is open to movers of all levels — no dance training required.
Women's Museum of California Education Center - 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM: "Crafting Feminism" exhibit and activities - protest button-making, pom-pom making, activist printmaking with ArtReach San Diego, community loom project with Revision San Diego
