Hosted and presented by the League of Women Voters - Florence Area, this commemorative event will take place on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., in the Stukes Room of the Florence County Library. Our theme, “For ALL People: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.,” reflects our ongoing commitment to inclusive civic engagement and the full participation of all in democratic life.
We are also mindful that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, a pivotal moment in American history that reaffirmed the right to vote for all citizens. The connection between voting rights and gender equity remains central to our mission, and your legacy of leadership continues to inspire action across generations.
Come share and learn more about issues and priorities as the CEO of the Women's Rights & Empowerment Network's (WREN) Dr. Amalia Luxardo keynotes this year's celebration!
