Women’s Equality Day celebrates the adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution marking the 101st anniversary of white women winning the right to vote. It wasn't for many years that all women won the long-overdue fight for voting rights.Today, we are proud that over half of the DFL members in the Minnesota House are women, demonstrating just how far we’ve come in a little over a century. There is still a lot of work to be done for women to reach equity and we’re proud to have our women-led majority continue that charge.
Please join us on Thursday, August 26th for an event to protect our majority and elect more women to the Minnesota House of Representatives.
