Celebrating & Inspiring Women's Entrepreneurship
On Thursday 11th July the School of Management will be hosting a collaborative event with the Bradford Renduchintala Enterprise Ecosystem (BREE). Shaped as a roundtable on “Women’s entrepreneurship and Inclusive Entrepreneurial Ecosystems’, this event brings together academics and women entrepreneurs to inspire and celebrate women’s entrepreneurship.
The aim of the round table is to bring together academics and women entrepreneurs to inspire and celebrate women’s entrepreneurship. Speakers and attendees will be invited to share their lived experiences and observations through open discussion on what makes a difference for women entrepreneurs in different entrepreneurial contexts.
The event will comprise of a keynote talk from a leading scholar in the field of entrepreneurship followed by an open roundtable discussion where speakers will partake in open dialogue with the audience.
The roundtable will feature:
- Liz Breen, Professor and Director of the Digital Health Enterprise Zone at the University of Bradford
- Lalarukh Ejaz, PhD, Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Development at the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, Pakistan
- Sharon Kaur Jandu, OBE, founder of the Northern Asian Powerlist and Northern Asian Power Think Tank, Director of the Yorkshire Asian Business Association
- Susan Marlow, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, University of Nottingham, a nationally and internationally recognised scholar with a particular expertise in the influence of gender and diversity upon entrepreneurial behaviour
The event is to be opened by Prof. Shirley Congdon, Vice Chancellor of the University of Bradford.
