What is the Women 's Coding Day?

Le Wagon Women's Coding Day is a full morning of coding workshop dedicated to all women who want to gain coding skills ?. If you are interested or know women who want to discover to code, this is the place! Our team of female teachers will teach you the basics of HTML and CSS and how you can build your first landing page ?‍♀️

Schedule of the day

10:00am - Opening Keynote: The reality and why we are so few women in tech. Gender inequality in tech-related roles is unfortunately still a part of our reality ?‍♀️. In this opening note, we'll give you an overview of today's numbers, why we need a change and how you can actively be part of a change so that future generation of female coders!

10:30am - Workshop: Learn how to code and design your website in only 2 hours! A very satisfying workshop where students will code and design their own landing page using HTML, CSS and Bootstrap library. We will also cover lots of design pro-tips to find icons, fonts and colours. What you will learn: HTML / CSS core notions, lots of graphical tips and tools (fontawesome, Google Fonts, colours, etc.) and an introduce Bootstrap and its responsive grid system ?

12:30pm - Onboarding on Le Wagon's Learn Platform ? . Discover our e-learning platform (Learn Platform), where you'll get a sum-up of key notions as well as exercises to keep practising after the workshop.

13:00pm - Q&A . Ask questions ? about our bootcamps, the workshop or anything else!

14:00pm - Final Goodbyes ?

Format

Each workshop will start with a 1-hour lecture to introduce the core concepts. You will then be onboarded on Le Wagon e-learning platform (learn platform) and access a sum-up of key notions as well as exercises to keep practising after the workshop.
