WOMEN'S ADVANCED BEGINNERS DRUM CAMP

With the success of our Beginners Camps we are expanding to an ADVANCED BEGINNERS event.

This is a step up from our Beginners weekend and will take your drumming to the next level. This is aimed at drummers who have been playing for longer than 6 months and who already have some knowledge of the following:

* Drum Notation

*Timing and note values

*Rudiments

*Rock Grooves

*Fills

We have chosen the cool and funky Mill Hill Music complex!! This is a well known place for pro musicians to rehearse and whats great is that there is a cafe and a music shop within the building too!

We will have two rooms to use on both days and so expect lots of drumming, learning, practicing and tea/coffee breaks!

PARKING

There is space for parking at the studio if you intend on driving.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

Two days (11am - 6pm) of learning, playing and performing.

Both days are going to be packed full of lessons...its an immersive weekend so straight away you'll be playing grooves, rudiments, we'll be examining your technique and getting into fills, improvisation and more!

Each camper will be presented with their own syllabus book and sticks. Together we will get you not only playing drums but having fun and performing whilst learning in a safe and welcoming space.

WHATS NOT INCLUDED?

Meals are not included but with the venue being in London you don't have to walk too far before you are at the main Highstreet with lots of options from coffee shops to pubs.

Accomodation isn't included.

Practice pads are not included.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Yourself, a practice pad and stand (if you have one)

Please do inform us upon registration if you don't have a stand or pad as we only have a few spare.

Sticks if you have a preferred model - otherwise we will have plenty of extra drumsticks you can use.

*If you feel you're not a beginner but not quite at intermediate level.

*Ladies who have drummed for over 6 months and want to progress in a safe and welcoming environment.

*Drummers who might lack confidence and want to feel supported

*Anyone wanting to deepen their drumming knowledge within a welcoming space

*Drummers who can understand notation and know a few rudiments

*Drummers who aren't familiar with rudiments but want to learn and who already have mastered basic drum beats

WHY ALL WOMEN?

Ciara and Michèle were brought together by the late, great Bob Armstrong, of whom they both had lessons with. Since meeting, Ciara performed at an incredible Drum Day hosted by Michele and it was clear that education and gender equality is something that drives these two ladies forward.
