Women of Iran have been exchanging their lives and the lives of loved ones for freedom for several months now. Do you really know why?
About this Event

A s an Iranian women, I have come to the realization that there is a lack of understanding around the true nature and motive behind the Iranian women's sacrifice and the revolution they have started and been vigorously leading for several months now, despite the lack of international support and intervention . The Women, Life, Freedom movement is considered to be the most powerful and enduring backlash against the unlawful regime of Islamic Republic since the Islamic Revolution of Iran in 1979. This movement that was ignited by the brutal M**der of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year old peaceful civilian, over her so called "improper hijab" is rooted deeply in decades of systematic abuse and manipulation of Iranian women and men, their deprivation of their very basic human rights, and their thirst for a free, diplomatic and secular society.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is the only country on this planet to impose compulsory hijab upon its residents (and visitors) in public and semipublic spaces as well as the social media. To implement this strategically disempowering "law" the morality police of Iran has been harassing, arresting, imprisoning, and raping women for decades. Not only the compulsory hijab but the myriad of anti-feminine rules in Iran has enslaved half of the society, rendering the other half either enraged by what their loved one have to tolerate or viciously in control of women's lives and destiny.

Please join me to walk you through the painful story of lives of millions of Iranian women in the form of a unique conceptual art exhibition. You will discover after this exhibition why it is imperative for this movement to survive and thrive; for women, for life, for freedom. The Iranian women need to be seen, to be heard, to be understood, and to be supported. Let's see them hear them, understand them, and support them, Let's be them!
