For the month of January, Women & Wine will feature a program by Crackpots owner Tamar Hendricks and wines from Oak Ridge Winery. There will be a painting activity that each guest will complete and pick up at Crackpots the next week, after it has been glazed and fired.Tamar Hendricks, owner of Crackpots, a pottery store on Main Street, believes that everyone has creative potential. For the two decades, the studio has let locals find their inner artist.
Hendricks said some people are intimidated by making art because they have to acquire supplies or don’t think they have artistic abilities. At Crackpots, the mission is to make it accessible. “Be an artist for the day” is printed on the storefront’s window.
Ticket prices are $40 for WAW members; $65 for non-members. This includes a flight of wine and a small nibbles platter, along with what we will be painting for the evening.
