Women Who Weld is holding a Single-Day Introductory GMAW/MIG Welding Workshop on Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 12pm to 4pm at our training facility (which is a shared space) in Madison Heights, MI!
Women Who Weld is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that teaches women how to weld and find employment in the welding industry.
We can accept a maximum of 16 participants. The minimum age to participate is 18.
The cost to participate in the workshop is $125.00 per person. All proceeds go directly toward Women Who Weld’s programs.

Important:
- Please arrive at 11:45am so we can start promptly at 12pm. If you are late you may not be able to participate, so please arrive early!
- We will provide safety gear (a flame resistant jacket, welding gloves, a welding helmet, and safety glasses), but if you have your own gear, feel free to bring it!
- Wear leather, suede, or canvas boots/shoes, a pair of jeans that cover your entire leg, including your ankle (i.e. without holes/tears/rips) that you do not mind getting dirty, and a 100% cotton shirt.
- We encourage participants to wear a mask or respirator while welding.
- Prior to your participation, you will receive an email prompting you to complete our mandatory General Release of Liability Waiver.
Women Who Weld focuses on training women to weld, and while our intensive and introductory training programs are open to individuals who identify as women and may prefer to receive instruction and training in a female-oriented environment, gender binary and non-binary individuals are welcome, too. In purchasing this ticket, the participant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to this statement.
