Dr Yansie Rolston - Executive Producer - uses this powerful film to spotlight the experiences of a group of black women experiencing menopause.
This event - book launch, film screening follwed by conversation facilitated by Dr Yansie Rolston - holds a safe space to have open and frank conversations on the impact of menopause on our lives.
The Film - "Our Menopause" gives an insight into the menopause journey of a group of Black Women openly talking about personal challenges and barriers they face. You get to see them connecting with others, expressing some of their hidden emotions and you also see them having many moments of joy.
The Book - "Black and Menopausal" also launches in your area. This deeply empowering and personal collection of stories brings together a wide range of Black experiences on the menopause journey.
This is a live event only. Entertainment (Guest Poet) and Refreshments will be provided.
