The Frontier Army Museum presents another installement of our Spekaer Series: "Women Pioneers of the United States Disciplinary Barracks"As part of the USDB’s Sesquicentennial Celebration this year, we present the flourishing role of women in the DoD’s only male maximum custody correctional facility and in the military corrections field. From the early days when administrative female staff had to be escorted by a male inside the prison walls to female correctional specialists, watch commanders, company commanders and Commandants. Women play a vital role in maintaining the security, control and good orderly running of military corrections facilities.
