Happy New Year to all you wonderful Women of Words! We hope you had a lovely festive break, and that 2026 is off to a great start for all of us.To kickstart our year, we're delighted to welcome Amanda Crundall. Amanda is a writer, performer, workshop facilitator, and radio presenter from East Yorkshire, UK. Her poetry, known for its raw emotion and honesty, explores vulnerability and resilience, resonating deeply with readers and audiences. Amanda’s work offers comfort and inspiration to many, making them feel seen and understood.
Amanda will be debuting pieces from her new collection, 'The Emboldened Heart', published on 16th January 2026.
As usual, we're really looking forward to hearing from all you talented lot on our open mic. Slots are bookable on the day, and you can catch Cass, Lynda or Valerie in the cafe downstairs from about 1:30pm. They're five minutes each (that's about 600 words of prose, two shorter poems or one longer poem).
