Join us for the 39th annual Women of Achievement Awards Ceremony— a day of celebration, inspiration, and living history. Seven awards are given each year to women in the Memphis community who have shown Courage, Determination, Heroism, Initiative, Steadfastness and Vision. We also honor a woman of generations past whose accomplishments still enrich our lives today, with the heritage award.
Since 1984, Women of Achievement has received nominations from the community to honor, document, remember, and celebrate change-making women who have made a lasting impact in the Memphis and Shelby County area through their work and lives.
The stories of 285 individual women and three groups (the suffragists, martyrs of the yellow fever, and the women who saved Overton Park) have been documented and are archived on the Women of Achievement website: WomenofAchievement.org and in a set of three books.
The 2025 ceremony will be on March 30, 2025 at First Congregational Church in midtown Memphis. The spacious and bright sanctuary reflects the inspirational stories of our seven honorees. Each honoree is given a unique handmade plate by local potter Mimi Dann.
