Women in the Wild is a program designed to bring together women and, people from across the county, who are interested in learning more about outdoor recreational activities. Participants will learn useful skills from Park Rangers, guest speakers, and their fellow "women in the wild" while building a non-judgmental, beginner friendly community that will leave them feeling confident to take on the "wild" on their own. Session 1 will be “Intro to Geocaching”. There will be a short classroom session followed by a fun afternoon of hiking, poker, GPS and treasure-hunting. Hike through the woods using your geocaching app and search for hidden containers. Inside the containers are tokens- grab one and trade them in for playing cards. See how good your poker hand ends up being. Beverages, snacks and marshmallows to roast will be available, along with a bonfire. Fun prizes for all!
