Making a commotion about the Ocean
Host: Hannah Gibbs
Info: Join Hannah, marine biologist and fisheries officer, as she shares her journey from studying marine biology at the University of Southampton to working in marine conservation and communication. In this talk, Hannah will explore the realities of building a career in ocean science, from research on killer whale foraging ecology to navigating the job market and finding purpose in applied marine work. She’ll also dive into the power of social media for science communication, discussing how sharing her experiences online through @marinebiologyposts has helped inspire others and amplify the voices of women in ocean science.
