These exceptional women physicians have demonstrated extraordinary dedication to their patients, leadership within their specialties, and a deep commitment to strengthening the health and well-being of our community.
You are invited to join us in celebrating these outstanding leaders at the Women in Medicine Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course in Fairfield.
We are also honored to welcome Guest Speaker Manisha Juthani, MD, Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Public Health. A nationally respected infectious diseases expert and advocate for public health and workforce development, Dr. Juthani’s participation will make this evening even more impactful and inspiring.
We are equally proud to recognize our Healthcare Hero Honorees, whose work in public health, aging services, and population health who have improved care, access, and quality of life for thousands across our region:
• Mary M. Donnelly, MPH, LPN, Retired Director of Care Management, Southwestern Connecticut Agency on Aging
• Elizabeth Rivera-Rodriguez, DNP, MPH, MSN, RN, Director of Public Health, City of Bridgeport Department of Health & Social Services
Proceeds support the GBMA Scholarship Program, which provides college scholarships to Bridgeport public school students and is expanding to offer medical school scholarships to local college seniors pursuing careers in medicine.
