Why and what is “Women in Energy” Breakfast:
While there has been some progress in recent years, women are still significantly underrepresented in the energy sector, highlighting the urgent need for greater equity, balance, and diversity. This isn't just a moral imperative in line with corporate social responsibility principles - research shows that more diverse teams lead to better business outcomes.
The "Women in Energy" breakfast is more than just a gathering - it's a movement towards a brighter, more inclusive future for the energy sector in Denmark. By creating an informal networking platform, we hope to empower women and allies to connect, share their unique experiences, and come up with innovative ways to build a stronger, more diverse, inclusive, and equitable industry. Join us as we pave the way towards a better tomorrow for everyone in the energy sector across Denmark!
• Create cross-company experience exchange platform;
• Promote equity and diversity in the sector, thus making it more attractive to work in;
• Share experiences regarding barriers to equity (salary, promotion policies, facilities etc.);
• Empower women working in the energy industry;
• Promote/raise awareness of diversity/equity among senior management.
Informal structure, with shared, ‘rotating’ ownership between companies. A networking platform, community driven. Industry-driven initiative.
