Women in Business: Banishing Your Finance Fears

At Startups Magazine, we dedicate one issue a year, every September/October to our Women in Tech/Female Founders! We know there is still a gap that we need to bridge when it comes to female founders, diversity, and inclusion - especially pertaining to funding. We can see in the numbers and statistics that we are nowhere near where we need or want to be but we can also see that we have come on a little since we first started on this journey.

Taking place at AllBright, London on 29th September at 6pm, we will be bringing you a panel of inspirational women who have been there and seen it all before and they will be discussing the challenges women in business have to face especially when it comes to financing their business.

Paige graduated from the University of Greenwich in 2014 with a 2:1 in English Literature. She joined Startups Magazine in February 2022 and has a keen interest in the latest technology developments and promoting engineering as a viable career option for the younger generation.

Liana Fricker, Founder & Inspirer-in-Chief, Inspiration Space. Liana Wilson-Fricker is a California-bred optimist who has worked with internationally renowned brands across numerous sectors. She is an entrepreneur, marketing expert, TEDx speaker, and business leader. Her creative flair for entrepreneurship has led her to be an advocate for start-up founders and is driven by the importance of intersectionality across business and gender equality.

In 2018 Liana launched The Inspiration Space which is a community for Founders and ambitious ‘Companies of One.’ Inspiration Space champions women in business, curating spaces and experiences that help level the playing field and catalyse growth. It is a place for new beginnings, acceleration, or scale where people solve problems quickly - without judgment using tried and tested methods.

Known as the Inspirer-In-Chief to her colleagues and peers, Liana is a problem-solver and visionary who has helped over 150 entrepreneurs transform their business dreams into realities.
