RECLAIMING YOUR POWER
Turning Tragedy to Triumph
This workshop is for women who want to break intergenerational patterns of behavior by identifying your core beliefs, challenging your limiting beliefs, and using positive self-talk. You will leave this practice with an increased sense of empowerment to rewrite your own story.
Presenter: Keisha Cox, LCSW, MS is a Holistic Mental Health Coach and founder of The Wellness Connection, LLC. Keisha has over 20 years of experience providing therapy to children and adults of all ages in addition to being certified as a Life Coach, 500 hr Yoga Teacher, Ayurvedic Nutritionist, and Level II Reiki Healer.
Meet Kamia Funchess, co-host of the Women Empowering Women and FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT workshop facilitator.
Kamia Funchess is a multifaceted entrepreneur working in the arts and finance arena. Her goal is to create a platform of creation and financial literacy. She wants to help people create a legacy for their families. Kamia has won various awards in Photography as well as in her Finance career for her outstanding work with her clients and team building. When she's not out shooting for her Personal Brand Photography, PhocusKam Photography business or helping clients financially, Kamia loves spending time with her teenage twins, making self care a top priority and traveling.
Kamia will be speaking about common traits of financial abuse and its effect on women and their families. We'll go over resources and tools to help women recover from financial abuse and never have to go back to being dependent on anyone.
Meet Shyrea (Shh_ree)! Founder of Hedera Yoga and Co-Founder of the Black Yoga Fest Foundation. This single mother of 3 is a self-proclaimed student of life. When she is not telling the world how Yoga saved her life, she can be found walking in any one Delaware’s State Parks. After practicing yoga for over 10 years, she has completed multiple Yoga Teacher Trainings. Most recently she added a Yoga, Social Justice, and Leadership Teacher Training from The Pr*son Yoga Project. Continuing her education, she has Certifications in Meditation, Pranayama,Yin Yoga, and Yoga for Mindful Athletes. She has completed trainings for Children’s Yoga and Mindfulness Coaching.
Our Mindfulness and Movement Yoga class provides an opportunity to cultivate mindfulness, increase body awareness, and reduce stress. This inclusive class educates individuals about importance of connecting with yourself as you navigate through life.
