ABOUT Dr. Violette Kolcan, MD, OMD, L.Ac., MBA

Dr. Violette Kolcan is a board-certified integrative medicine practitioner, blending over 30 years of experience in both Western and Eastern medicine. She graduated from the Medical University of Wrocław in Poland, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, and completed advanced training in gynecological laparoscopy at Northwestern University in Chicago. As a medical leader, she also earned an MBA from the University of Wrocław.
After 15 years of practicing Western medicine, Dr. Kolcan was drawn to a more holistic approach. She graduated Cum Laude from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, expanding her knowledge into Traditional Chinese Medicine. Today, she integrates both disciplines to support her patients’ mental, spiritual, and physical well-being.
She is passionate about healing and is actively involved in organizations such as the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Legion of Young Polish Women (LYPW), Chicago Society, World Polish-Hungarian Federation, and PAMS.
Dr. Kolcan emphasizes quality over quantity in her care. Her detailed initial consultations include comprehensive evaluations, diagnostics, and personalized treatment strategies. Her practice incorporates acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, cold laser therapy, herbal formulas, frequency therapy, and nutritional and lifestyle guidance, including Tai Chi and breathing techniques.
Her loyal patients often refer their families and friends, a testament to her compassionate and results-driven care.
