✨ Women of the Apocrypha ✨Women At The Well warmly invites you to a new monthly class exploring the rich and often-overlooked stories of women in the Apocrypha 💛. Beginning January 26, we’ll gather on the 4th Monday of every month at 6:30 PM in The Well, led by Rev. Dr. Susan Diamond.
The Apocrypha—also known as Deuterocanonical or Inter-testamental literature—is a collection of ancient Jewish writings that bridge the roughly 400 years between the Old and New Testaments. These texts were widely read in the time of Jesus and the early church and remain part of Catholic and Orthodox Bibles today. They offer rich historical, cultural, and theological context, deepening our understanding of biblical history and the New Testament theology of the first century. ✨📜
Within these writings are powerful stories of faithful, courageous, wise, and complex women whose voices help illuminate God’s work in times of struggle, change, and hope. 👩🏽🦱👩🏼🦳💫
Come for thoughtful teaching, meaningful conversation, and a welcoming community. All are welcome—no prior knowledge needed! 💬💒
