Come join us for nourishing tea and a conversation on a return to our matrilineal tribal systems and supporting our bodies. This presentation seeks to share information on femme empowerment, balance between sexes and gender identities, and teachings of menstruation/moontime traditions, while facilitating dialogue between various other Indigenous women and their tribal traditions. Please note: this presentation on femme empowerment is from one Cherokee woman’s perspective. There is nuance and range to each Cherokee’s understanding of our world and is a mere drop in the ocean of universal Indigenous knowledge and perspective. This offering is part of the Medicine Keeper-in-Residence program, an educational-service program of the Intertribal Medicine Collective designed to empower the next generation of traditional medicine knowledge keepers. All are welcome to come, learn, and support.
