About this Event

Women are Human Multi-Media Art Exhibit

Seven Valiant Women Fight Injustice. Experience their powerful stories through this Multi-Media Exhibit featuring the work of Patsy Ferrell.

Artist Patsy Ferrell is set to open her thought- provoking multi-media exhibit, Women Are Human, at the Mariana de la Vega Gallery in Tucson, AZ, this December. The exhibit will coincide with the International UNiTE campaign to end violence against women and girls.

Ferrell's Women Are Human exhibit underscores the normalization of systemic violence faced by women and girls globally, while emphasizing the transformative power of women uniting to dismantle this injustice. Through her art, she seeks to raise awareness, foster empathy, and inspire action. Ferrell combines her artistic expression with her experience as a mental health professional counselor to create works that provoke deep reflection and social change.

Through her art, Ferrell illuminates the missing stories of injustice. As a cultural healer, Ferrell’s goal is to inspire viewers of her work to seek compassionate solutions to societal problems and to work in partnership with people of every gender, culture and experience to mend the broken parts of our world.

The exhibit will be open to the public from December 7-10, 2024, from 11 AM to 3 PM.

To further deepen the impact of the exhibit, a workshop on December 11, 2024 will be offered for individuals interested in exploring how societal normalization of systemic violence against women and girls has impacted their own lives. Self-exploration through a guided artistic process will assist participants toward healing, empowerment and liberation.

This workshop is for women and men who want to explore how societal normalization of violence against women and girls has impacted their own lives. Self-exploration through a guided artistic process will assist participants toward healing, empowerment and liberation.
