Women & Whiskey
Women have shaped the history of alcohol since the first fermentations. The stories of women in whiskey largely began with Irish women, the evasion of the British tax police, and the disturbing brutality enacted during the years when women were hunted down for producing whiskey and poitin. Join this workshop to learn more about the Irish women of the past who paved the way for the women dominating Irish Whiskey today. A selection of whiskeys and poitin will be paired with this intriguing history.
• Attendance is limited to 30 participants.
-Classes will last 45 minutes.
-Workshop will be held at The Brown Derby Ballroom on the 2nd floor.
• This workshop includes a commemorative Iowa Irish Fest Logo Glencairn Whiskey Glass.
• Must be 21 to attend
