Join Indivisible Joplin at Shelter 3 at Cunningham Park (in front of the Aquatic Center) for an evening of celebration for Women’s Equality Day on August 26th, 2025.At 6:00 pm, we will have arts and crafts like button making and “My Little Protest” sign making.
At 6:30 pm, storyteller Sue Godsey will present for the children (and all those children at heart, too!)
At 7:00 pm, our guest speakers kick off and you can hear from inspiring local voices.
Meet our Keynote speaker:
Kayla Branstetter (Author, Artist, Educator, Professional Speaker, Women’s Rights Activist)
Kayla Branstetter is a published writer, an award-winning artist, and TEDx speaker from Missouri. She has a passion for breaking through barriers to achieve gender equality and amplifying marginalized voices. She is currently a professor of English at Crowder College. She holds a MALS degree in Art, Literature, and Culture from the University of Denver.
